Trahan Architects was founded in 1992 by Trey Trahan. The firm is intimate in size but broad in its scope. Bringing together a diverse talent pool around a single shared table, our company is built on open, ongoing conversation. We engage in a collective questioning of how our process and work can contribute to the health of our ecologies, cities and economies. Each member of the Trahan team is an integral part of a collaborative process that enriches our company culture and improves the quality of our work.
Charles joined the Trahan team in 2016 after completing his M.Arch degree at Tulane University in New Orleans. As a student, Charles took a keen interest in graphic design, digital fabrication, and 3D printing. Through this he eventually worked his way to become the 3D print manager in the Digital Output Lab of the Tulane School of Architecture where he researched and implemented new techniques in post-processing and assisted students with integrating 3D printing into the design process. During his tenure, he also studied at the National University of Singapore with an intensive focus on globalization, Asian urbanism, and their effects on the architectural landscape.
Outside of the office, Charles is an avid abstract painter and illustrator. He enjoys running, playing drums and synthesizer, biking, martial arts, and moonlit boating.
