Bringing together a diverse pool of talent around a single shared table, our company is built on open, ongoing conversation. Founded in 1992 by Trey Trahan, the firm is intimate in size but broad in its scope. We engage in a collective questioning of how our process and work can contribute to the health of our ecologies, cities and economies. Each member of the Trahan team is an integral part of a collaborative process that enriches our company culture and improves the quality of our work.
Elaina joined Trahan Architects in 2019. Her interests in architecture include exploring the intersection of the formal, socio-cultural, and aesthetic possibilities of design. Originally a Florida resident, Elaina earned her Bachelor of Design with a Minor in Urban and Regional Planning in 2012. After graduating with honors, Elaina attended Yale University where she earned her Master of Architecture in 2017. While at Yale, she spent two years as a Teaching Fellow for Peter Eisenman’s course Formal Analysis, which studied the formal and conceptual underpinnings of Modern architecture via the Italian Renaissance. Her professional experience ranges from an urban design proposal in Paris, France to a mass-timber prefabricated house in upstate New York. She’s a member of The Architecture Lobby, a national professional organization advocating for the value of architecture.
